By the end of 2021, the combination of the Capella constellation size, the agility of the satellites and all-weather radar capabilities will be able to provide virtually guaranteed acquisition of a given target within a client-specific time window. The Capella constellation allows rapid revisit too, with the potential to capture images of key target several times a day.
A critical operational advantage offered by Capella Space is the ability for partners, including Geospatial Insight, to directly task the satellites, increasing both the speed of acquisition and the level of security. The whole tasking process is highly intuitive and has been streamlined to provide clarity of tasking results and the rapid delivery of the acquired data to an end user.
Dave Fox, CEO of Geospatial Insight explains the key benefits of partnering with Capella Space…
“FOR US, PARTNERING WITH CAPELLA SPACE BRINGS 3 KEY CAPABILITIES; VERY HIGH RESOLUTION AND HIGH QUALITY RADAR IMAGERY, EXCEPTIONAL RELIABILITY AND AQUISITION FREQUENCIES AND THE ABILITY TO DIRECTLY TASK SATELLITES ON BEHALF OF OUR CLIENTS…”
…We develop and deploy algorithms that can auto-extract key features about the targets that are of most importance to our clients, combining this with Capella’s high-resolution SAR imagery allows us to provide them with the highest quality and accurate intelligence.” With Capella having already launched three satellites into orbit and more planned for the near future, the opportunities for monitoring assets worldwide will significantly increase for Geospatial insight.
It’s an exciting time for space technology development, with more than 3,000 satellites now orbiting earth every day. Geospatial Insight are at the forefront of an innovative generation of remote sensing experts – partnering with leading commercial satellite operators, including Capella Space, ensures that our clients can access the most accurate intelligence to inform their critical business decisions.
