Luton’s Data-Driven Approach to Electric Vehicle Infrastructure

Luton Borough Council recently embarked on a strategic initiative to expand its Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. The council was awarded £1.3 million from the UK Government’s Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) fund, with a commitment to install hundreds of EV charge points across the city over the next few years. To achieve this the council sought a more data-driven and objective approach to identifying optimal locations for these charge points, moving away from their traditional, labour-intensive methods.
